DATE: Edwardian, c.1900

Charming antique oval locket with an embossed anchor in high relief on the front, and hand-engraved foliate detailing to the back. It opens to reveal two locket compartments, one of which contains a South African postage stamp with Kind Edward VII's head in profile. It's 9k back and front, which simply means that the front and back surfaces are 9 karat gold, and inside it's base metal.
