These are the perfect Garnet earrings, a deep rich red and just the right size. In the center is set a cabochon garnet, also called a carbuncle. Surrounding each cabochon are 10 rose cut garnets. The garnets are set in jeweler's brass, also known as Garnet Gold for its popular use in the Bohemian Garnet jewels of the era. The earrings have new 14k yellow gold wires. It is not uncommon for antique earrings to have new wires as they often get bent over the decades. Circa 1870.

Details.....The earrings have a 1" drop from the ear, the measure 0.57" across. In Very Good antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
